February 27, 2006 Jersey City, NJ fire fighters responded to a building fire at 792 Westside Ave. Upon arrival they found fire showing in a 2 story frame store with apartments above. Heavy fire spread rapidly into the cockloft and spread to adjacent buildings on Fairmount Ave. The fire heavily damaged 449-457 Fairmount Ave. In total 7 building were involved in fire. The fire took several hours to control and escalated to 4 alarms. Dozens of families were left homeless from the blaze. Photos By: Adam Alberti
